Project Brief:
This development is located on the outskirts of Limerick city adjacent to the Dublin Road. The contract consisted of eight blocks of Apartments for Students attending the University of Limerick.
The contract involved four different types of roofing materials. The main A Frame Roofs (5000 sq. metres) were covered with a double skin aluminium standing seam speeddeck and aluminium flashings.
The Flat Roofing areas (which were used as balconies) were covered using Asphalt and Paralon Roofing System. These were then covered with upside down insulation with paving slabs laid down on top. The stairwells were covered using decking insulation and single ply membrane.
This contract was completed on a block by block basis and took five months to complete in it’s entirety.
