Main Contractor: Collen Construction
Products Used: Kingspan Kingzip Panels, Kingspan Micro Rib Panel, Tegrel Pelicolor Rainscreen System
Project Brief:
This project entailed adding an extension to this historic building.
The extension used modern roofing and cladding materials to tie into the existing stone building. The roofing used was Kingspan Kingzip Panels. The Cladding to the rooflights was Kingspan Micro Rib Panel.
The most interesting element of this project was the cladding used to the exterior (and both sides of an interior) walls. This was achieved by using Tegrel Pelicolor Rainscreen System that was integrated with Glazing and Louvered sections. The Pelicolor, a fibre cement board were pre-cut to exact dimensions and then fitted on-site to timber battens on breather membrane onto plywood studs.
This resulted in a very impressive finish to the new extension and blended in very well with the existing stone building.
